We are a growing Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery practice committed to providing exceptional patient care in a compassionate, professional, and team-oriented environment. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and motivated Patient Care Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for our patients and help ensure a seamless patient experience from consultation through treatment.

Position Summary

The Patient Care Coordinator plays a critical role in delivering outstanding customer service while supporting the clinical and administrative operations of the practice. This individual will manage patient scheduling, insurance verification, treatment coordination, and front office responsibilities while creating a welcoming and positive experience for every patient.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients with professionalism and warmth
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
  • Schedule consultations, surgeries, and follow-up appointments
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Present treatment plans and discuss financial arrangements
  • Collect patient payments and maintain accurate records
  • Coordinate communication between patients, doctors, and referring offices
  • Ensure all patient information is entered accurately into the practice management system
  • Confirm upcoming appointments and maintain provider schedules
  • Assist with administrative projects and office workflow as needed
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or higher certificate program
  • Minimum 2 years of medical office or dental office experience required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency with computers and basic office software
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude

Preferred

  • Experience in Oral Surgery, Dental, Periodontal, Orthodontic, or Medical specialty practice
  • Knowledge of dental or medical insurance verification and billing
  • Experience with practice management software
  • Treatment coordination or patient financial presentation experience
