NPI Engineer | Walker, MI
Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new product introductions (NPI).
- Collaborate with design engineering to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Specify, procure, and validate new manufacturing equipment, tooling, and fixtures.
- Create and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and control plans.
- Lead and execute pilot production builds, identifying and resolving manufacturing issues.
- Monitor and drive yield, quality, and efficiency improvements during the NPI phase.
- Facilitate the smooth transition of new products and processes from NPI to sustaining production.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering or New Product Introduction (NPI) role.
- Demonstrated expertise in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and experience with PLM/ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process validation methodologies (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Excellent project management and cross-functional communication skills.
Bonus Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for advanced process control and data analysis.
- Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g., robotics, vision systems, additive manufacturing).
- Familiarity with PLM system administration or advanced configuration.
