About the Role
Our financial client is seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team in the Financial District. You’ll manage, troubleshoot, and optimize network systems to ensure high availability and security across our organization. This is a fully onsite role—your expertise will directly impact the stability and performance of our IT environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and network devices
- Troubleshooting connectivity issues and responding to network-related incidents
- Monitoring network health and performance, escalating issues as needed
- Assisting with network security controls and best practices
- Participating in network upgrades, maintenance, and patching efforts
- Working closely with systems and IT teams to support business operations
- Maintaining accurate documentation of network configurations and assets
What You Should Bring
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, infrastructure support, or IT operations
- Working knowledge of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, firewall fundamentals)
- Experience with Cisco networking hardware
- CCNA or equivalent certification (Network+, JNCIA, etc.)
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and IT ticketing systems
- Experience supporting wireless networks and troubleshooting connectivity issues
Nice to Have (But Not Required)
- Exposure to cloud networking environments (AWS or Azure)
- Basic scripting or automation experience
- Understanding of ITIL or structured service management practices
