Key Requirements & Desired Experience:
- Active Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with students in elementary grades (grades 2–6 preferred)
- Deep understanding of disability categories such as Specific Learning Disability (SLD), Speech/Language Impairment (SLI), and Other Health Impairment (OHI)
- Strong background in providing specialized instruction in reading, writing, math, and executive functioning
- Familiarity with IEP case management, documentation, and compliance standards
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach with staff and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated and specially designed instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals
- Serve as case manager for a caseload of approximately 20–24 students, leading IEP meetings and collaborating with LEA support
- Prepare, maintain, and submit accurate special education documentation
- Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), particularly on Tuesdays and occasionally Wednesdays, engaging in collaborative planning
- Foster strong working relationships with general education staff, related service providers, and families to promote student success
Assignment Details:
- August 21, 2026 – June 14, 2027
- Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM–2:35 PM (35 hours per week)
- Grade level placement is flexible, with a focus on grades 2–6
