Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

A well-established global logistics and warehousing company is seeking an experienced, bilingual Warehouse General Manager to lead its Warehousing Division.

This senior leadership role oversees warehouse operations, warehouse customer service, team leadership, customer relationships, budgeting, profitability, vendor negotiations, safety, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate brings strong warehouse and logistics management experience and business-level Japanese and English communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse operations, including shipping coordination, scheduling, staffing, space utilization, employee assignments, overtime, and coverage planning.
  
  
• Oversee warehouse customer service and maintain effective communication between operations and customer service teams.
  
  
• Ensure shipments are processed accurately and on schedule.
  
  
• Develop, implement, and improve operational policies, procedures, standards, and SOPs.
  
  
• Monitor warehouse facilities, equipment, cleanliness, safety, sanitation, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  
  
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, service quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  
  
• Support e-commerce operations, including EDI integration.
  
  
• Manage distribution processing, value-added services, staffing, and profitability.
  
  
• Build and maintain relationships with existing customers and prospective clients; conduct local customer visits as needed.
  
  
• Prepare quotations, review contracts and agreements, and negotiate pricing and service terms with vendors and subcontractors, subject to senior management approval.
  
  
• Coordinate with warehouse, trucking, shipping, and other logistics service providers.
  
  
• Prepare customer invoices and support collection activities as needed.
  
  
• Develop sales and gross-profit budgets by customer; manage revenue, costs, and profit-and-loss performance for warehouse accounts.
  
  
• Prepare monthly performance forecasts and operational and financial reports for senior management.
  
  
• Lead, coach, train, and evaluate employees across warehouse operations and customer service.
  
  
• Supervise approximately 7 direct company employees and approximately 30 temporary warehouse associates provided through staffing agencies.
  
  
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and required HR documentation.
  
  
• Ensure applicable employees receive required forklift training and maintain appropriate credentials.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; higher education preferred.
  
  
• 10+ years of relevant experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  
  
• Significant experience managing warehouse operations and customer service functions.
  
  
• Proven supervisory experience, including staffing, scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and workplace issue resolution.
  
  
• Experience with budgeting, profitability, revenue and cost management, and operational reporting.
  
  
• Experience negotiating with logistics vendors, transportation providers, subcontractors, and/or customers.
  
  
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, shipment coordination, inventory flow, safety, sanitation, and SOPs.
  
  
• Experience using warehouse management systems.
  
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows-based business applications.
  
  
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, strategic-planning, and project-management skills.
  
  
• Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English, both written and verbal, is required.
  
  
• Spanish-language ability is preferred but not required.
  
  
• Valid driver’s license required.
  
  
• Ability to use a personal vehicle for business purposes when needed, with appropriate automobile liability insurance.

Physical and Work Requirements

This position works in both office and warehouse environments. Duties may include extended sitting, standing, and walking; navigating uneven or slippery warehouse surfaces; bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, twisting, and turning; and occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items up to 100 pounds.
