Job Description

WE PREFER HIRING TEACHABLE PEOPLE WHO DO NOT HAVE POOL EXPERIENCE.

This is a truly unique opportunity to develop a long term serious career.

Every other company in this industry hires short-timers who do this job for a few months or years and then they move on. We are not going to waste your time. We need serious individuals who want to learn all aspects of this business and advance to the point that they can operate their own business and make a serious living wage.

Here are THREE THINGS you need to understand about this job:

1. This job requires hustle, hard work and personal initiative.

If you want to just stick the ear buds in and chill and work at a leisurely pace, you will wash out. You need to be focused, teachable and hungry.

2. Success does not happen overnight.

It takes 3-4 weeks of working at this to turn the corner and get in a groove. If you develop a disciplined method, and maintain a well organized truck, you can make a nice check every week, but it requires serious effort and attention and perseverance, as with any career.

3. If your life requires you to take frequent days off, this will not work.

We give you all the major holidays, six flex days and an additional week off at your anniversary date if you have no vehicle accidents, but frequent unplanned absences will result in your dismissal.

Here is how the career ladder works in this business:

STEP ONE: If you are new to the business, you have to start on the weekly pool service side. Your first four weeks, you work at 17.50 per hour with very limited overtime.

Once you complete training and handle a route, you are paid hourly for the first four weeks or until your value of work exceeds 17.50 per hour. Each pool has a certain value of work and most average 17.50 or more, and a pace of one hour per pool is easily doable within a few weeks if you are paying attention.

STEP TWO: After you master the weekly pool service skills, you will qualify for up to a 20% bonus if you are doing your work with no issues and with little supervision.

STEP THREE: After you are fully proficient you can take on filter cleans and other small repairs to supplement your check $200 or more per week.

STEP FOUR: If you pass the test for your state RAIL license so you can do the full range of pool repairs in addition to maintaining a route of weekly service pools (30-40). This can easily get your pay to the 65,000 - 75,000 range depending on your abilities and the current business climate.

This job has lots of great potential. It is what you make it, but you have to take the initiative.

We provide a work truck and tools and training. You get 6 flex days each year, plus 6 holidays and a bonus vacation week on your annual anniversary date if you have no vehicle accidents the previous 12 months.

This career works best for those who:

1. Take their work very seriously. Anyone who is just looking for a paycheck will not reach their full potential. You can maintain a good work-life balance, but to succeed at this business you have to be willing to do whatever it takes to take care of your customer.

2. Have experience working outdoors in all the elements. If you don't like working outside in the heat and cold and occasional rain and snow, this is probably not a good match.

3. Have mechanical ability. If you are good at working with your hands, you can learn this.

4. Are naturally curious and teachable. If you want to learn everything there is to know. If you are constantly trying to learn new things, this is going to be your cup of tea. There is so much to learn and so many areas to expand into that you will never reach the end of it.

We begin with a phone interview and if we feel you may be a good match, we will proceed with an in-person interview.
