What you’ll do
In this early-career mechanical role, you will support fatigue aging management for reactor components across the nuclear fleet. A typical week might include collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to resolve issues that affect plant construction and operations, studying how design, operation, and decommissioning influence component life, and strengthening trusted relationships with our customers.
- Build deep understanding of nuclear power plant design, construction, operations, and decommissioning.
- Gain broad technical exposure to U.S. and international nuclear markets.
- Team up with engineers across disciplines to troubleshoot and improve construction and operational performance.
- Develop and maintain effective business relationships with Westinghouse customers.
Where you’ll work
You will report to the Manager, Fatigue Aging Management for Reactor Component Engineering. The position is based at Westinghouse Headquarters in Cranberry, PA (Greater Pittsburgh Area) and operates on a hybrid schedule at the manager’s discretion. Please note: relocation assistance is not available.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required (other engineering disciplines will not be considered).
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 required.
Pay transparency
We are committed to fairness and openness in our people practices. The base salary for this role is expected to be between $58,400 and $73,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.
