Paralegal - Morristown, NJ
Firm:
One of New Jersey’s oldest and largest full-service law firms serving clients from Fortune 500 corporations to middle-market businesses.
Role:
This role involves legal research, document preparation, client communication, and case management to ensure efficient and accurate handling of sensitive family law matters.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and settlement agreements.
- Draft and file court documents, such as petitions for divorce, custody agreements, and restraining orders.
- Conduct research on family law statutes, case law, and local court rules.
- Summarize findings to assist attorneys in case strategy and preparation.

Schedule client meetings, mediations, and court appearances.

Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, and other parties to schedule hearings and mediations.

Assist in the discovery process, including preparing interrogatories, requests for production, and deposition summaries.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in family law.
- Paralegal certification is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of family law procedures, terminology, and court rules.
- Experience with family law-specific software (e.g., Clio, MyCase).

Compensation/Benefits:
- Base Salary: $65-75k+, commensurate with experience.
- Additional Compensation: Annual performance-based bonus.
