A well-established Personal Injury law firm located in Downtown Manhattan is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Managing Personal Injury Attorney admitted to practice in New York. This leadership role requires an experienced litigator to oversee case strategy, mentor attorneys, and drive operational excellence across the firm. The ideal candidate is both a strong trial attorney and an effective manager who thrives in a fast-paced, fully in-office environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Managing Attorney in overseeing daily legal operations of the firm
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff
• Review case files for legal strategy, compliance, and quality control
• Handle a caseload of complex personal injury matters from inception through trial
• Conduct depositions, court appearances, mediations, and trials as needed
• Ensure adherence to deadlines, court rules, and firm protocols
• Collaborate with intake, pre-litigation, and litigation teams to maximize case outcomes
• Provide ongoing training and professional development to legal staff
• Support firm growth initiatives and contribute to process improvements

Required Qualifications

• Active admission to the New York State Bar
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury litigation
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree
• Demonstrated courtroom and trial experience preferred
• Prior supervisory or management experience strongly preferred
• Deep understanding of New York civil procedure and personal injury law
• Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated courtroom and trial experience
• Prior supervisory or management experience
