Purpose & Scope:
The physician plays a vital role within the healthcare team, collaborating with other professionals to deliver comprehensive medical services to patients. Each physician's practice scope is determined by the credentialing and privileging committee of the health system. This role involves supporting individual objectives, budgetary goals, and performance metrics. Additionally, the physician is responsible for all medical activities at the individual level, which includes the implementation of quality control standards, risk management, and compliance initiatives. The primary focus is to provide timely and high-quality clinical care to patients who have chosen our organization.
Education:
- A Doctorate from an accredited medical institution is mandatory.
Experience:
- A minimum of one year of medical/surgical experience is required.
Certifications/Licensure:
- Must be licensed to practice medicine by the Virginia Department of Health Professions.

Working Conditions:
Patient Care:
The work setting is typically well-lit and ventilated, though it may involve frequent interruptions and long hours with changing shifts. Employees may be required to work beyond standard hours, including overtime or on-call duties. There is routine exposure to infectious diseases, bloodborne pathogens, bodily fluids, hazardous chemicals, and other potential risks. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided for instances of exposure to blood and infectious materials. Interaction with patients, family members, colleagues, and visitors may occur under various conditions, including those that are emotionally charged or challenging.

Compensation Range:
The annual salary for this position ranges from $250,000.00 to $552,240.00. In addition to the base salary, our organization offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage (subject to eligibility), along with wellness and retirement benefits designed to support employees and their families.

Actual compensation will be determined based on specialty, education, training, skills, experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications. This range may be adjusted in the future based on business needs or market changes. Compensation is not considered earned until vested according to applicable policies and benefit plans. The availability and amount of bonuses, incentives, or other benefits are subject to the terms of those plans and may be modified at the organization's discretion, in compliance with applicable law.
