Locations: Odessa, Midland, and Big Spring, TX

MMC Group is seeking Career Advisors (Case Managers) to fill three vacancies, with at least one opening in each office. This is a great opportunity for a customer-focused professional who enjoys helping individuals develop career goals, improve their skills, and secure employment.

Position Details

• Job Title: Career Advisor I (Case Manager)
• Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
• Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
• Work Location: Onsite only
• Openings: 3 total (Odessa, Midland, and Big Spring)
• Bilingual: Preferred, but not required
• Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred

Job Summary

The Career Advisor I provides career counseling, coaching, and case management services to help job seekers identify career opportunities, improve their professional skills, and obtain employment. This role supports individuals with diverse backgrounds and employment barriers by connecting them with workforce development programs, training opportunities, and potential employers.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct career assessments to identify customers' interests, abilities, skills, employment history, and training needs.
• Provide career counseling and coaching to help participants establish realistic employment and career goals.
• Assist job seekers with resume development, interview preparation, mock interviews, and effective job search strategies.
• Educate customers on labor market trends, available job opportunities, industry qualifications, and expected wages.
• Identify and refer eligible participants to workforce programs, educational resources, occupational training, apprenticeships, and other development opportunities.
• Explain available financial assistance, scholarships, and supportive services.
• Maintain ongoing communication with assigned customers and monitor their progress toward employment and training goals.
• Coordinate with employers, workforce partners, and internal teams to identify suitable job opportunities for participants.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
• Good driving record.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines.
