Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Houseman to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of guest areas, public spaces, and back-of-house facilities. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, and public areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, polishing, and carpet care to ensure a spotless environment
- Assist with furniture arrangement, replenishing supplies, and organizing storage areas to support overall cleanliness and orderliness
- Support housekeeping management by completing detailed reports on cleaning activities and maintenance issues
- Handle janitorial tasks such as waste removal, window cleaning, and disinfecting high-touch surfaces to uphold hygiene standards
- Support industrial cleaning projects when needed, including deep cleans of large or specialized areas
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored safely after use
Experience
- Proven experience in cleaning or custodial roles within hotels or hospitality environments preferred
- Familiarity with floor care techniques including polishing, buffing, and carpet cleaning
- Previous janitorial or industrial cleaning experience is highly advantageous
- Knowledge of hospitality standards and customer service principles is a plus
- Experience managing housekeeping tasks or supporting housekeeping management is beneficial
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
