Are you a nurturing and enthusiastic caregiver with a passion for early childhood development and outdoor play? Rainbow Playschool, a licensed, community-owned nonprofit Child Care Center in beautiful Woodstock, Vermont, is looking for warm, attentive, and dedicated Infant Caregivers to join our team!

Position Details
●Job Title: Infant Caregiver
●Schedule: Full-time or Part-time (Day shifts only, Monday–Friday)
●Pay: $16.50–$19.50/hour, based on education and experience
●Location: Woodstock, VT

Duties

What You’ll Do As an Infant Caregiver at Rainbow Playschool, you'll provide loving, consistent care and support to children aged 2–18 months. Responsibilities include:
●Ensuring the daily health, safety, and well-being of infants in your care
●Creating a calm, nurturing environment for feeding, napping, and play
●Diapering, bottle preparation, meal assistance, laundry, and sanitizing baby supplies
●Supporting age-appropriate developmental activities and engaging play
●Communicating regularly with families about routines, milestones, and progress
●Maintaining a clean, organized, and enriching classroom environment
●Working collaboratively with fellow staff and assistant teachers
●Participating in at least 24 hours of professional development annually

Requirements

Minimum Requirements
●Completion of (or enrollment in) an Early Childhood Education, Human Development, or related college-level course
●Alternatively, must complete the "Fundamentals of Early Childhood Education" course within one year of hire (mentorship and support provided)

Rainbow playschool is a non-profit organization in the foothills of Mt. Tom in Woodstock, Vermont.We provide daycare and preschool services with an emphasis on play and outdoor education to children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years old.Play.Learn.Grow.

Rainbow Playschool was founded in 1981, offering childcare services to the Woodstock communities.We are a four star state accredited program, operating at our newly renovated 8,000 square foot net zero building, which hosts beautiful classrooms dedicated to each unique learner.Children thrive in our large outdoor learning and play area, abutting the Marsh Billings National Park.
