Primary responsibilities to include:

  • Reviewing and finalizing correspondence, reports, discovery, and pleadings
  • Understanding the facts and backgrounds of each case
  • Electronic court filings (federal and state)
  • Tracking discovery and document production in written and expert discovery
  • Communicating with witnesses and experts and scheduling meetings and depositions
  • Communicating with claim adjustors and coordinating the scheduling of EUOs
  • Formatting general and reviewing pleadings, discovery, reports, and correspondence
  • Scanning, filing, and copying
  • Scheduling depositions and making travel arrangements
  • Submit expense reports and invoices
  • Potential billable tasks as requested such as reviewing and organizing medical records, EUO and deposition transcripts
  • Handle office coordination duties such as ordering office supplies and working with facilities as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a legal secretary, defense litigation firm preferred
  • Prior experience with litigation processes preferred
