Summary


The Aron House Dorm Office Coordinator advances Principia by ensuring the dorm office operates smoothly and consistently in support of boarding students and the Home Department’s role as parent. Reporting to the Director of Home Life, this role plays a key part in coordinating student logistics, managing communications, and maintaining established office systems and processes. You’ll maintain a welcoming and inclusive presence in the office, coordinate and organize special events, and undertake tasks in a confidential and professional manner.

Success in this role draws on strong organization, attention to detail, discretion, and a service-oriented approach, with a focus on executing established workflows and providing reliable, responsive support to students, families, and staff.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage day-to-day dorm office operations to ensure smooth and consistent functioning
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming and outgoing Home Department communications
  • Maintain established office systems, records, and processes to support the Home Department; ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Track and coordinate student travel for scheduled breaks, emergencies, appointments, disciplinary needs, and unscheduled needs
  • Support planning and execution of dorm events, including Family Weekend, Day Student Exchange Weeks, Girls’ Swing Out Dinner, Boys Senior Dinner, and other community events
  • Manage credit card reconciliation and track departmental expenses
  • Support budget tracking and assist with monthly reconciliation processes
  • Compile, maintain, and distribute student records, rosters, permissions, and mailings
  • Maintain and update systems, such as Magnus and the student portal, for the Home Department
  • Provide backup support for dorm coverage and assist houseparents as needed
  • Administer student medications in accordance with training and established protocols

Minimum Qualifications

  • Student of Christian Science
  • Supportive of Principia’s guiding statements as articulated here https://www.principia.edu/about/guiding-statements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated willingness to turn to God for guidance in daily work
  • Willing to support students’ treatment choices and complete required medical administration training
  • Experience working in an office or administrative support role required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Outlook

Compensation and Benefits


We offer a competitive salary range for this position: $32,942 - $37,554 annually (at a 39-week schedule), commensurate with experience and qualifications, plus housing and meals on campus.
