We are seeking a qualified Resident Construction Manager to join our team full-time, overseeing renovation projects focused on moisture management and mold remediation in support of the Military Housing Privatization Initiative at Eielson AFB, Fairbanks, Alaska. The Resident Construction Manager will provide construction surveillance, design oversight, and project management support to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and contract requirements throughout the duration of the privatized housing project. This is an on-site position, and physical presence at Eielson Air Force Base is required.
Main Responsibilities:
- Performs oversight for adherence to Federal and State regulatory compliance for moisture/mold remediation renovation and reconstruction projects
- Provides design review and suggestions for correcting errors
- Performs remediation plan reviews
- Reviews Project Owners final plans
- Reviews payment & performance bonds
- Assists in facilitating design review activities
- Performs periodic checks on Project Owner's compliance with Davis-Bacon Act
- Uses client project website to manage project documentation
- Supports construction contractor Requests-For-Information
- Notifies the Contracting Officer (CO) and COR of critical issues that may affect the contract performance and/or human health and the environment
- Follows company safety standards and site safety standards
- Understands and adheres to company policies
- Provides photographs and maintains daily log of construction activities
- Performs most assignments independently but consults with others and receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems.
- Plans work and meets deadlines without supervisor action.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have either bachelor's degree or equivalent in construction-related field or at least two years directly related field experience
- Must hold current license or equivalent state qualifications in mold remediation/management
- Knowledge of federal and DoD contracts
- Must be an organized, motivated and detail-oriented team player.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), PowerPoint; familiarity and working knowledge of AutoCAD, or other software is also a plus.
- Candidate must be approved by Air Force prior to hire
- Must be approved to work on a DoD installation
- Willingness and ability to travel periodically as required by project needs.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test, MVR check and federal government background check.
- Must be eligible to work legally in the US.
