Requirements:

- Active RN license in state of practice (or compact license as applicable)
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- 1+ years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required
- Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency required

Duties:
\n
- \n
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions
- Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, identifying and responding to changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, including cardiac drips as applicable
- Manage pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients, including wound care and pain management
- Coordinate care for patients with chronic and acute conditions, including diabetes, cardiac, and respiratory diagnoses
- Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, case managers, and interdisciplinary team on plan of care and discharge planning
- Educate patients and families on condition, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient response in the EMR
- Manage a typical patient load of 4-6 patients per shift (varies by facility and acuity)
- Ensure infection control and fall prevention protocols are followed
