We are seeking a dedicated furniture assembler to join our Albany team, specializing in the installation of office furniture for large construction projects. This is a permanent role within a stable company, offering opportunities for growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Load, transport, and unload office furniture at job sites.
- Assemble and install desks, chairs, cubicles, shelving, and cabinets according to specifications.
- Ensure proper alignment, stability, and functionality of installed furniture.
- Follow blueprints, installation guides, and client instructions for accurate placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, disposing of packaging materials properly.
- Use hand and power tools safely for assembly and installation.
- Communicate with clients and team members to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including lifting techniques and workspace precautions.
Essential Skills
- 1+ years of experience in construction labor, mechanical assembly, manufacturing assembly, roofing, landscaping, or related construction fields.
- Experience operating a box truck or a large delivery truck.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy furniture safely.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in furniture installation, carpentry, or related fields preferred.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Work Environment
Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with overtime during the week and on Saturdays. Occasional overnight travel is required, with hotel accommodations or per diem provided. Work primarily occurs indoors in office buildings, with some warehouse work or outdoor loading/unloading. PPE is provided, and candidates must supply their own steel toe/safety toe boots, work pants/jeans, and non-graphic t-shirts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albany, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
