Overview

CTG is seeking to fill a Java & Web Technologies Developer position for our client in Houston, TX.

Duration: 10 months

Duties:

Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using the latest Java versions (11/17/21).
Build and enhance microservices and RESTful APIs using Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Cloud, and related Spring technologies.
Collaborate on Golang (Go) services for production environments.
Integrate and manage database solutions, including MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and participate in DevOps practices.
Work with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) to deploy and manage applications.
Contribute to frontend and full-stack tasks with exposure to Angular and Node.js.
Apply testing methodologies and tools to ensure high-quality code.
Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.
Utilize message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.) in event-driven architectures.

Skills:

Java 11/17/21 development (5+ years)
Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Cloud, Spring ecosystem (4+ years)
Go (Golang) production experience (1–2 years)
Microservices architecture and RESTful API design
OpenAPI / Swagger knowledge
Database technologies: MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL

Experience:

Extensive professional experience in backend development with Java and Go.
Experience working with cloud platforms and DevOps/CI/CD pipelines.
Exposure to frontend technologies (Angular, Node.js) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and collaborative experience in agile teams.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
