Job Details
Cell culture technicians are scientific research and development professionals responsible for culturing various cell lines for the company's biotechnology products and services.
Key Responsibilities
Cell culture technicians maintain continuous cultures of various cell lines such as Hybridoma, CHO, and HEK-293. Their primary duties include:
- Maintaining, cryopreserving, and cataloging various cell culture lines.
- Preparing cell culture media, reagents, and growth factors.
- Performing cell culture experiments according to established protocols.
- Maintaining thorough electronic records of cell culture data.
- Ensuring compliance with cGMP and ISO quality systems.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of cell culture experience, with extensive experience in all aspects of mammalian cell culture being preferred.
- Skills: Essential skills include aseptic technique, solid understanding of cell biology and laboratory safety.
