Job Title: Inside Flooring Sales Consultant & Showroom Assistant
Location: Multiple Showroom Locations (Baton Rouge & Gonzales)
Schedule: Full-Time, Some Saturdays Required

Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and organized Inside Flooring Sales Consultant & Showroom Assistant to oversee the presentation and maintenance of our flooring showrooms. This individual will support our sales team, interact with customers during the sales process, and ensure showrooms are visually appealing, accurately priced, and stocked with the latest product samples.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel between multiple showroom locations to manage displays and product samples
- Be able to cover shifts at different locations between Baton Rouge and Gonzales
· Greeting customers on the showroom floor
- Managing the transaction from start to finish
- Using computer database to research availability of merchandise and to process orders
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner; assist with in-store sales as needed
- Helping customers with their choice through decorating and design advice
- Keep all showroom displays updated with current flooring samples and ensure they are properly labeled and priced
- Assist sales staff with administrative and operational tasks
- Lift, move, and install flooring displays and samples (30 – 50 lbs)
- Maintain showroom cleanliness and organization
- Use Microsoft Word and Excel to create price tags and price lists
- Learn and use new software tools to support showroom operations
Requirements:
- While not necessary, prior experience in a retail or customer service setting, preferably in the flooring, interior design, or home improvement industries is a plus
- Comfortable working with physical displays and lifting moderate weight (30 – 50 lbs)
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel; willingness to learn new software
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail
- Well-spoken and neat in appearance
- Reliable transportation to travel between showroom locations
- Flexibility to work some Saturdays and support various locations as needed
