Salary: $74,000 – $84,000

Position Summary

The Family Law Unit focuses primarily on supporting survivors of domestic violence. Our work includes securing:

  • Injunctions for Protection
  • Dissolutions of Marriage
  • Paternity Orders

We are currently seeking a full-time Staff Attorney to join our team. The Staff Attorney will be responsible for providing high-quality legal services to clients and their families while advancing the mission of our organization.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

In addition to direct legal representation, the Staff Attorney will:

  • Prepare and deliver client training and community education programs.
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives.
  • Engage in active bar participation and professional development.
  • Contribute to special legal and community projects as assigned.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to support client needs.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar Association.
  • Demonstrated awareness and sensitivity to the needs of diverse and vulnerable populations.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced, sometimes high‑stress environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and case management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attorneys, support staff, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work constructively with others.
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus.


Education & Experience

  • 1–3 years of legal practice preferred, but not required.
  • Experience serving low-income individuals, victims of crime, veterans, or other marginalized populations is preferred but not mandatory.


Compensation

  • Salary Range: $74,000 – $84,000
