Location: Oconomowoc
Position Type: Contract
Schedule: 1st Shift | Start time between 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM | 8-hour workday
Pay Rate: Approximately $26–$35/hour, depending on experience
Position Overview
Seeking a contract Quality Technician to support the Quality Assurance team for a short-term project lasting approximately 1–2 months. This individual will be responsible for performing 3D scanning and dimensional inspection of manufactured parts using a Hexagon Metrology Arm CMM and PolyWorks software.
This is a hands-on quality role ideal for someone with prior metrology and inspection experience who can work independently and accurately in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Hexagon Metrology Arm CMM to inspect and scan manufactured components
- Utilize PolyWorks software to collect, analyze, and document dimensional data
- Perform 3D scanning and compare scan results against engineering specifications and CAD models
- Enter inspection data and maintain accurate quality records within the software system
- Identify dimensional discrepancies and communicate findings to the quality and manufacturing teams
- Support ongoing quality assurance and inspection activities as needed during the project duration
- Maintain organized documentation and ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures
Qualifications
- Previous experience using PolyWorks software required
- Experience operating an arm-style CMM, preferably Hexagon Metrology Arm systems
- Strong understanding of dimensional inspection and metrology practices
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Manufacturing or quality assurance experience strongly preferred
