Job Description

Job DescriptionSenior Backend Engineer Node.js/TypeScript

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js / TypeScript) to join a fintech infrastructure team building the next-generation compliance and routing layer for licensed financial institutions essentially a SWIFT for stablecoins.

This product powers regulated cross-chain and cross-stablecoin value transfer for institutional clients including banks, PSPs, exchanges, and compliant crypto wallets.

The core mission: create a global addressing and payments routing system that delivers:

  • secure & fast cross-chain transfers

  • institutional-grade stablecoin rails

  • full Travel Rule (IVMS-101) alignment

  • audit-ready transparency and policy enforcement

This is a centralized-by-design rails layer not a bridge, not a DEX.
Think audited controls, deterministic policy engines, strict SLAs, MPC custody integrations, and production-grade financial infrastructure.

You will architect and ship systems where real money moves and real risks exist.

Why this matters now

Institutional stablecoin adoption is scaling rapidly as banks and regulated players move from pilots to production.

This team is building the backbone for that evolution a secure, policy-driven execution layer for compliant global stablecoin settlement.

You will design and deliver the rails that enable this industry shift.

What youll own

  • Build and launch the first cross-chain corridor:
    USDC (Circle CCTP) Tron USDT

  • Implement policy-tracked execution with audit artifacts

  • Design and implement the complete payment lifecycle (intent settlement)

  • Integrate MPC custody providers (Fireblocks, Copper, Palisade, Utila)

  • Handle CCTP flow, attestations, and proof handling

  • Listen to Tron & EVM events and finalize settlement logic

  • Build treasury controls, float-monitoring, and rebalancing logic

  • Architect an intent ledger & reconciliation layer (no state drift)

  • Deliver idempotent APIs, error taxonomies, retries, timeouts

  • Stand up observability: logs, metrics, dashboards, SLOs

  • Ship evidence bundles & webhook delivery 99.9% SLO

  • Define engineering best practices & help hire senior backend peers

Tech & Concepts

  • Node.js + TypeScript (must)

  • Event-driven distributed systems

  • Postgres (indexes, replication, migration strategy)

  • CI/CD, SRE practices, SLIs/SLOs

  • Kubernetes / ECS, Terraform

  • OAuth2 / mTLS / Secrets mgmt / KMS

  • Idempotency, ledgering, consistency models

  • Webhooks, retries, backoff, circuit breakers

  • MPC custody flows and key policies (Fireblocks / Copper / Utila / Palisade)

Requirements

  • 712+ years building production systems

  • 3+ years driving mission-critical services or leading technical delivery

  • Previous experience in CEX, custody, PSP, or core-banking stack

  • Deep Node.js & TypeScript backend expertise

  • Built & operated event-driven systems at scale

  • Hands-on MPC custody integration experience

  • Designed systems where funds are at risk

  • Professional English, strong communication skills

  • Experience working in international teams

Nice to have

  • Travel Rule / IVMS-101 familiarity

  • Exposure to DEX routing logic (slippage, MEV, limits)

  • Treasury / liquidity systems, rebalancing models

  • Strong security mindset & audit exposure

First 90-Day Success Criteria

  • USDC(CCTP) Tron USDT corridor live

  • 99.95% payout success post-finality

  • p95 settlement < 5 minutes

  • Evidence bundle delivery 99.9% SLO

  • Zero drift between on-chain receipts & intent ledger

  • Treasury utilization 6070% with safe rebalancing triggers

About the role

  • Fully remote

  • Full-time

  • Compensation: fix + equity (0.5%1.5%)

  • 4-year vesting, 1-year cliff

  • 3-month probation

If you're excited to build institutional-grade crypto payment rails and ship systems where reliability, correctness, and compliance matter we'd love to speak with you.
