Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise, and provide technical direction to Quality Control personnel while establishing priorities and ensuring inspection requirements are completed in accordance with production schedules.
  • Oversee quality inspections and functional testing throughout all stages of vehicle manufacturing, from incoming components and in-process production through final inspection and delivery.
  • Perform and oversee inspections within manufacturing, parking, and on-road environments to validate vehicle quality, functionality, and conformance.
  • Review work orders, specifications, and applicable technical documentation to verify completed vehicles meet defined requirements.
  • Inspect, evaluate, accept, or reject internally manufactured and vendor-supplied components based on established quality requirements and specifications.
  • Partner closely with Production and Engineering teams to investigate quality concerns, coordinate repairs, resolve manufacturing issues, and prevent recurrence.
  • Develop, maintain, implement, and enforce Quality Control policies, procedures, inspection practices, and documentation standards.
  • Manage quality records, inspection documentation, certifications, and other required records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and traceability.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement corrective measures that strengthen product quality, manufacturing consistency, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor quality performance throughout the manufacturing process and proactively address conditions that could impact product conformity or production schedules.
  • Ensure Quality Control activities are performed in accordance with established company safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and quality excellence across Quality, Production, and Engineering teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8–10 years of progressive quality experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Quality Control personnel and managing day-to-day quality operations.
  • Experience managing and supporting a Quality Management System (QMS) within a production environment.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply work orders, technical specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Experience performing or overseeing incoming, in-process, and final product inspections.
  • Proven ability to identify quality deficiencies, investigate manufacturing issues, and implement effective process improvements.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing quality principles, inspection practices, documentation, and product conformity.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills with the ability to establish priorities, provide direction, and hold teams accountable to quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Production, Engineering, suppliers, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance rigorous quality requirements with production schedules and delivery deadlines.
