Qualifications include:

· Must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional work experience;

· Two (2) years prior experience in a legal or office setting;

· Exceptional attention to detail;

· Detail-oriented, efficient, organized, able to prioritize and multi-task;

· Proficiency with MS Word;

· Strong interest in the legal field;

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a small office setting;

· Reliable, self-motivated;

· Enthusiasm and willingness to go the extra mile and learn new skills;

· Excellent writing and communication skills;

· Professional and respectful demeanor;

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Case and document management, including filing, indexing and drafting of correspondence/notices;

· Compose, edit and proofread correspondence, presentations and other documents;

· Preparing Court filings/complaints, affidavits, and other ancillary legal documents;

· Communication with clients, tenants, and other attorneys;

· Maintaining strict confidentiality in all interactions;

· Assisting attorneys in office, court, and client meetings, as needed;

· Demonstrating an intimate knowledge of attorney’s work habits and preferences;

· Monitoring attorney's email inbox and responding to voicemails;

· Working closely with, and effectively managing, attorneys' practice to keep him/her well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately;

· Other administrative tasks, as needed.

No overtime or weekend work. Convenient to Orange Line. Salary commensurate with experience and skills. PTO included.
