Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Tehachapi, California. Start date: 10/26/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay: $593-$632 per week. Guaranteed hours: none. Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for ER patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Perform initial assessments, triage, ongoing monitoring, and administration of medications per policy; document changes and respond to shifts in patient status.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with multidisciplinary team members while applying critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making.
- Communicate with physicians and other disciplines to develop and implement patient care plans; help manage patient flow and prioritization in a busy ER setting.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the patient record and ensure adherence to safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement practices.
Requirements
- Active California RN license
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- ER nursing experience preferred; strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to work evenings and 12-hour shifts in an ER/acute care setting
- Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment starting 10/26/2026
