IT Administrator - Contract Assignment, Reports to the Director of Enterprise Infrastructure & Operations. This role will be the main point of contact for the project we have going; to the sell off half of our company. The Contractor will do everything from support, reports, documenting, etc. with all IT teams.
This contract assignment has no (PTO) paid time off (this includes no paid holiday and paid vacation). Contractors can request for time off and take time off but please understand it’s not paid time off. If this is not a good fit, please do not apply.

Job Purpose
The IT Administrator serves as a key figure in the organization's IT support infrastructure, playing a critical role in supporting the infrastructure team at an advanced level. This role requires an individual with a strong technical background and the ability to navigate challenging IT issues effectively. This individual will be responsible for managing the IT assets. This includes onboarding and offboarding employees, and software and hardware support. This individual will also need experience with Microsoft Excel working with data reports and exports. This role will work with all aspects of IT, including Infrastructure, Data & Applications, Networking, and Security to support all aspects. This role will serve as a primary to special projects, ensuring tasks completion and documentation gathering.
In addition to providing support, the IT Administrator is tasked with the mentorship and development of the less experienced team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning within the support team. They ensure that the team is abreast of the latest troubleshooting techniques and IT support protocols, in order to provide the highest level of service to end users.
Key Responsibilities and Critical Success Measures
- Provides escalated support for complex technical issues covering the Infrastructure team.
- Documents, tracks, and monitors support requests submitted by end-users and ensure timely response and resolution of such requests while adhering to the established IT processes and controls.
- Assist in maintaining support call queue by answering calls submitted to helpdesk line.
- Leads initiatives for process improvement, efficiency gains, and troubleshooting protocol enhancement.
- Assist in the management of servers, network equipment, and various IT infrastructure components.
- Works closely with the infrastructure management in creating and maintaining IT policies and procedures.
- Participates in special projects that enhance the quality and/or efficiency of the infrastructure team.
- Maintain and manage the organization’s hardware. This includes coordinating with vendors for the procurement, installation, and troubleshooting of software and hardware.
- Assist in managing the network with the Network services team.
- Adheres to IT policies, procedures, and system controls and follows change management processes where applicable.
- Lead onboarding and offboarding of employees, utilizing automation of tools to streamline processes and increasing efficiency.
- Participate in the development of project plans, service desk processes for various level of support, and communicate issues. In addition will also assist in the creation and updating of IT processes and procedures.
- Fulfill service request utilizing service management tools, working with infrastructure team members to ensure requests are managed and addressed properly.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for information security-related inquiries and incidents, collaborating with the info security team as needed
- Act as a liaison between employees and other IT teams (Infrastructure, Security, Applications) to ensure timely resolution of escalated issues and effective communication
- Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and informed decision-making
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including user account management, access and permissions management, software license allocation and management, and troubleshooting M365 application issues (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
- Perform device management tasks, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of endpoints
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience in role.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT administration with flexibility and experience.
- A+, Network + and similar certifications required. ITIL Foundations is a plus.
- Solid understanding of computer and network systems, LANs, WANs, Internet, or Intranet.
- Experience with creating technical documentation including end-user manuals and technical drawings
- Ability to manage projects, including planning, execution, and oversee projects as required.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including Active Directory, DNS, and TCP/IP.
- Experience with O365 and mobile device support, iOS preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and on-premise systems
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently to be effective in IT administration. This includes hardware, software, and network issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous business operations.

- Experience supporting users during organizational change or transitions
- Strong customer service orientation and effective interaction with users at all levels
- Familiarity with information security best practices and ability to act as the first point of contact for security-related matters
- Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 administration, user and license management, and support for core M365 applications
- Strong understanding of device management concepts and experience with relevant tools
- Knowledge of the Windows operating systems, including Server OS.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
Work Environment
- Dependable, flexibility to work weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays.
- The Company's IT shift covers 6am to 6pm with expanded working hours or emergency support hours, as needed
