Key Skills and Competencies:
- Construction & Repair Expertise – Ability to inspect, troubleshoot, and perform repairs on residential components with minimal supervision.
- Problem-Solving & Adaptability – “Handyman” approach to diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently, adjusting schedules as needed for urgent tasks.
- Technical Proficiency – Skilled in operating hand and power tools, selecting appropriate materials, and applying best practices in repair techniques.
- Safety Awareness – Strong commitment to workplace safety, adhering to protocols and staying current on training.
- Communication & Customer Service – Excellent verbal communication skills to interact professionally with homeowners, general contractors, and building inspectors.
- Time & Resource Management – Ability to document time, materials, and work performed accurately while maintaining organized records.
- Physical Capability – Able to lift up to 100 lbs unassisted and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Valid Driver’s License – Must have a valid driver’s license
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnostic & Repair Skills – Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform necessary repairs to residential components before or after inspections.
- Customer Interaction & Communication – Respond to builder or homeowner warranty repair requests with professionalism and clear communication.
- Documentation & Organization – Maintain accurate records of labor and materials used, ensuring timely and organized reporting.
- Technical Expertise – Apply best practices in repair techniques and material selection to ensure durable, high-quality fixes.
- Tool Operation & Maintenance – Safely and effectively operate hand and power tools to complete repairs.
- Safety Compliance – Adhere to company and industry safety protocols, staying current with safety training.
- Professionalism & Teamwork – Interact respectfully with customers, coworkers, and subcontractors while upholding company values.
- Workplace Efficiency & Adaptability – Manage workload effectively, adjusting to urgent requests and ensuring independent task completion.
- Vehicle & Equipment Care – Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and ensure all tools are in proper working condition.
- Continuous Learning & Improvement – Attend meetings and training sessions to stay updated on industry best practices and company procedures.
