Position Overview:
Journey is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team in our Cumming, Georgia regional office. This position will support the Legal Department with a primary focus on litigation matters across our long‑term care facilities. The ideal candidate will be detail‑oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under supervision of an attorney, draft and prepare agreements, contracts, amendments, termination letters, correspondence, memoranda and other legal documents
  • Assist attorneys with all aspects of case file management, including legal research, document production, accuracy reviews, and cost tracking
  • Manage and maintain files and legal records in electronic database
  • Assist with contract audits and compliance reviews
  • Send demand letters, prepare and submit subpoenas
  • Communicate and coordinate legal documents and matters with outside legal counsel
  • Coordinate logistics for hearings, trials, and evidentiary proceedings
  • Calendar and track deadlines, hearings, and key litigation milestones
  • Perform administrative and project-based tasks as assigned
  • Communicate in a clear and concise manner with colleagues, opposing counsel, judicial staff, and other legal professionals

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of paralegal experience with a strong focus on litigation
  • Experience in healthcare, long‑term care, or insurance defense preferred
  • Paralegal certification or relevant degree required
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures, discovery rules, and case management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross‑functional teams
