Job Description

Job Description Badger State Staffing is seeking dependable Production Floaters for full-time, direct-hire opportunities in the Fox Valley! In this dynamic role, you’ll support the manufacturing and distribution of premium fine art materials. While your main day-to-day focus will be packaging, labeling, and palletizing finished goods, you’ll also cross-train across key departments—stepping in to support fulfillment, product assembly, fine art production (paints and woodworking), and shipping/receiving as production needs shift. Primary Duties:

  • Safely package finished art products into appropriate boxes or containers, ensure proper labeling, and bundle or stack items onto pallets according to shipping and staging standards.
  • Perform pick-and-pack operations using pick lists to accurately pull orders for retail, trade, or direct customer distribution.
  • Assemble art components, displays, kits, or wooden materials using hand tools and basic machinery.
  • Assist in specialized manufacturing areas such as liquid paint processing, filling, or precision woodshop operations under guided supervision.
  • Assist with loading/unloading trucks, staging outgoing freight, scanning inventory, and organizing stock areas.
  • Inspect materials, packaging integrity, and labels to ensure every item meets high standards of product quality.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in compliance with company standards and safety protocols.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Occasional overtime may be required on a Friday. Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, assembly, or distribution environment is a plus.
  • Willingness and flexibility to learn multiple jobs and adapt to changing daily priorities.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with strong attention to detail.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude or comfort working with hand tools (for wood and assembly areas) is helpful.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly throughout a shift.
  • Ability to work in a light industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to wood dust, paints, and raw materials (appropriate PPE provided).
