URGENT NEED! THIS IS AN 18-MONTH ASSIGNMENT. (Position expected to start in 4-6 weeks (End of June, beginning of July 2025). This position will be employed by Mavec and you would be assigned to this construction project.
**You MUST answer ALL the screening questions and have a resume with ALL required certifications attached to be considered.
A background check is a requirement of this job.
We are seeking a highly qualified and proven Site Safety Coordinator to manage all on-site safety compliance and ensure all local, state, and federal safety regulations are upheld throughout the project lifecycle of a residential construction project in the Bronx, NY. The project is a 10-story residential building (75,000 square feet).
Responsibilities:

Implement and monitor the site-specific Health & Safety Plan

Conduct daily site safety inspections and toolbox talks

Maintain accurate safety documentation and incident reports

Coordinate with the Site Superintendent to ensure safe site logistics

Interface with NYC DOB and third-party safety auditors as needed

Enforce all NYC safety standards and protocols
Requirements:

Current NYC DOB Site Safety Coordinator Certification or Site Safety Manager License

OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification

NYC SST Card (62 hours)

Minimum 3–5 years’ experience on NYC construction sites

In-depth knowledge of NYC construction safety regulations

Excellent recordkeeping and communication skills

Background check required

Reliable transportation to commute to the Bronx
