The ideal candidate will have experience operating sewing machines, working with heavy-duty fabrics, and producing high-quality sewn products. Key Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines to sew and assemble canvas covers for carts.
- Measure, cut, and assemble fabrics according to patterns, templates, and specifications.
- Perform hemming, binding, top-stitching, and seam reinforcement on fabric covers.
- Sew rectangular covers with four sides and a top.
- Read and interpret work orders, measurements, and sewing patterns.
- Use handheld crimping tools to attach snaps to fabric covers.
- Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
- Collaborate with production team members to ensure proper fit and finish.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- 1+ year of industrial sewing or upholstery experience preferred.
- Candidates with home sewing experience are welcome to apply and must successfully complete an in-person sewing test.
- Familiarity with heavy-duty fabrics, canvas, and industrial sewing techniques.
- Ability to accurately read tape measures, sewing patterns, and fabrication specifications.
- Experience with hemming, binding, stitching, and fabric assembly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
- Dependable attendance and willingness to learn.
