We are a boutique, highly collegial law practice seeking a skilled and tech-savvy Part-Time Legal Secretary to assist with all facets of our daily operations. If you are looking for a collaborative, low-stress environment with great scheduling flexibility and absolutely no weekend work, this is the perfect fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: Manage phone calls, client intake, scheduling, and calendar management.
  • Document Preparation: Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings related to real estate transactions, wills/estates, and matrimonial cases.
  • Digital Filing & Organization: Maintain and organize electronic and physical client files, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Tech Management: Utilize legal software, email, and digital tools to streamline daily office workflows.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Secretarial Expertise: Strong organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, and excellent written/verbal communication.
  • IT Savvy: Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and general legal billing or case management software.
  • NY Legal Experience (Major Plus): Prior experience working within a New York law firm is highly preferred.
  • Practice Area Familiarity (Plus): Experience handling paperwork and procedures for Wills, Real Estate (closings), and/or Matrimonial law is a significant advantage.
