SGI Global is seeking a Field Investigator to support the United States Capitol Police (USCP), Office of Background Investigations and Credentialing (OBIC). This role is vital in conducting comprehensive background investigations for sworn and civilian applicants, ensuring that only individuals meeting USCP's rigorous suitability standards are hired.
Responsibilities

Conduct full-scope background investigations for sworn and civilian USCP applicants.

Interview applicants and their personal and professional references.

Gather, analyze, and evaluate results from polygraph, psychological, and medical exams.

Prepare investigative reports documenting findings, analyses, and recommendations.

Coordinate field investigations within the assigned region and follow all USCP documentation and reporting protocols.

Submit timely, accurate reports in the required USCP format.

Travel locally and regionally; occasional travel outside of the core region with prior authorization.
Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of adjudicative and investigative support experience.

High school diploma or GED; federal law enforcement or equivalent investigative training.

Skilled in investigatory interviews, data gathering, and investigative report writing.

Familiar with applicable fraud statutes and employment suitability standards.

Capable of managing multiple investigations and meeting strict deadlines.

Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated full-scope background investigation.

Must provide own transportation; travel reimbursed per GSA guidelines.
