Mobile Fleet Mechanic (Diesel & Gas)
Renton, WA (Seattle Metro) | $36–$50/hr DOE | ? Monday–Friday Day Shift | Full Benefits
Seattle-area mobile fleet work. Hourly pay. Your own rig. No weekends.
If you're a self-sufficient mechanic who'd rather be in the field solving problems than stuck inside a dealership waiting on flat-rate hours to add up — this is built for you. We're a stable fleet operation servicing the greater Seattle/Renton area, and we're hiring one experienced mobile mechanic to join a tight-knit team that respects the craft.
You'll have a fully equipped company service vehicle, consistent Monday–Friday day shift hours, and hourly pay that reflects what this market actually requires.
Pay & Compensation
- $36–$50/hr, paid hourly — never flat rate (rate set at hire based on your experience and skill level)
- Weekly direct deposit
- Overtime available
- Pay reflects Seattle market rates and the added responsibility of mobile field work

Schedule
- Monday – Friday | Day Shift
- No weekends, no rotating shifts, no on-call surprises (field service as needed during your shift)
- Full-time, 40 hours/week

What You'll Be Working On
- Mobile inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet vans, trucks, and trailers
- On-site yard work and roadside breakdown response
- Preventive maintenance and DOT/compliance inspections
- Test drives and functional system adjustments
- Work order completion using in-house billing software (tablet/mobile provided)
- Parts inventory management for your service vehicle
? What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a diesel mechanic, fleet mechanic, or mobile repair tech
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required for company vehicle operation)
- Ability to pass a standard background check
- Own hand tools (specialty/shop tooling and mobile equipment provided)
- Basic computer/tablet skills for work order and billing entry
- High School Diploma or GED
- Someone who works independently, communicates proactively, and takes ownership of their route
