Location: Greenville, SC | Full-Time | Construction Industry

Are you a seasoned operations leader with a passion for people, process, and performance? Freedom Interiors Group—a fast-growing commercial drywall and cladding contractor—is seeking a driven Operations Manager to help lead our next phase of growth.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee and develop project and field managers

  • Lead forecasting, job-cost analysis, and project excellence

  • Drive company goals through strategic planning and KPI management

  • Inspire teams and nurture our values-driven culture

  • Partner directly with the CEO on strategic execution

  • Proactively identify opportunities and resolve issues before they arise

  • Conduct regular job site visits and review contracts as needed

Who You Are:

  • Experienced in construction operations (10+ years preferred, ideally in Walls & Ceilings)

  • Adept in P&L management, financial forecasting, and team development

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 5+ years in a leadership role

  • Proven success managing multimillion-dollar projects

Operations Manager Duties and Responsibilities

  • Long-term planning and forecasting to create initiatives that further the company’s overall goals
  • Managing Office and Field managers to Develop excellence
  • Managing/Forecasting project job-cost with Project and Field Managers in order to maximize profit and provide excellence to customers
  • Inspiring and motivating employees to perform at their best through positive encouragement and managing KPI’s
  • Frequent Communicating with CEO on goals for the company and updated on status of those goals.
  • Maintain and grow company culture based on its established values.
  • Identifying opportunities to expand or shift course in order to take advantage of changes in the market
  • Ability to see and forecast and resolve issues based on experience before they arise.
  • Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals; ability to work in challenging, fast paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Assist the CEO in establishing and maintaining strategic relations with customers, suppliers.
  • Ability to Review all prime and sub-trade contracts as designated
  • Conduct regular visits to the project sites of all jobs to verify status of the project.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelors degree

Experience in Leadership and Business Operations in Construction industry (preferably Walls and Ceilings Industry)

At least 10 years in construction and 5 years in leadership

Managed multi million dollar contracts

Ability to lead self and manager others by our values

Ability to forecast budgets, manpower, and anticipate rising issues

Knowledge and Success in Managing P/L reports, Job-cost Reports and Financial Forecasting

Discernment – have to ability to decern situations, people, and opportunities

Tactical Work: Able to effectively lead others in understanding contract language and risk

Able to lead managers and field staff into accurately installing the work in place.

The ability to discern and manage project risk

Be Responsible Forecasting goals, solving problems and producing opportunities

Be responsible for Project budgets and monthly WIP reports and summary with mangers

Run operations meeting weekly with Field Superintendents and Managers

Be available for project manager and field managers for support and direction

Effectively manage subcontractors and subcontracts

Solve critical issues quickly and effectively delegate to empower managers under them to resolve the issues

Make sure Project Managers are on task, on budget, on schedule and getting the foreman what they need on

the projects. Receiving feedback on things they lack or need to do their job and acting on their behalf

Being proactive in approach to planning long lead items, reconciling any issues, and foreseeing problems before they happen.

Work with CEO to develop and implement company initiatives, projections, and forecasting

Handles facility issues and projects that arise

Billings are comprehensive and completed on-time each month with change orders reconciled

Track aging reports and work with OM and CEO to stay within 45days

Interview and Hire staff for positions with written position agreements

Handle employee evaluations and follow-ups for Teams development

Create and manage manpower forecasting with assignments and acknowledging gaps and trends to minimize spikes and valleys

Strategic Work: Strategize – Company goals and growth plans with CEO

Lead, Inspire and Help the operations team to perform at the highest standard and abilities

Design, Plan and Implement business strategies along with CEO guidance for the team to follow

Forecasting- team/manpower needs, tools equipment needs to match growth strategy.

Planning with CEO

Create great relationships with good communication with clients and team.

Leading by ways of communicating the company’s vision, values and mission in decisions and conversations.
