Senior DevOps Engineer (Infrastructure + IoT)
Pay: $160k-$250k base + Stock options
We are Located: New York, NY (near Wall Street, a block from the river)
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong background in infrastructure management and automation. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable infrastructure solutions, focusing on IoT applications and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions for IoT applications using AWS and other cloud platforms.
- Automate deployment processes using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Docker.
- Develop and manage infrastructure as code using AWS CDK and Terraform.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and ensure seamless deployment of applications.
- Monitor system performance and optimize infrastructure for reliability and efficiency.
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles, with a focus on infrastructure management.
- Strong expertise in AWS services and architecture, especially IoT-related services.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for automation and scripting.
- Experience with containerization technologies, especially Docker.
- Familiarity with AWS CDK and infrastructure as code practices.
- Experience with GreenGrass v2 and IoT edge computing is a plus.
- Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
