JLGOV LLC Network Engineer(Onsite | Washington, DC)
Support the Department of Justice (DOJ) Civil Rights Division in a high-impact, enterprise-scale environment (approx. 175 servers / 3 sites / 70 switches) where your work directly enables secure, reliable litigation support systems. NOTE: This is not a remote job opportunity candidate must be on-site and live within 50 miles of the location.


Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience supporting network operations, systems administration, and enterprise IT support
Demonstrated ability to monitor, maintain, configure, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN/WLAN infrastructure
Strong written and verbal communication skills (able to coordinate actions and complete tasks accurately)
U.S. Citizen able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (must pass without delay)
Bachelors degree preferred (IT/CS/Information Systems or related)

Work Location & Schedule (No Exceptions)
Onsite only (no telework): 150 M Street NE, Washington, DC 20002
40 hours/week, 8-hour day between 8:00 AM 4:30 PM local time

Compensation (W2 Only)
Estimated at $108,450.00 annually + benefits
Taxable retention bonus may apply after 90 days

Role Summary
You will support day-to-day network operations and sustainment while contributing to secure design, configuration management, incident response, and documentation in an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain network health; troubleshoot outages/performance issues across LAN/WAN/WLAN
Configure and sustain network infrastructure and security controls; support upgrades and change implementation
Support operational tools and workflows (ticketing, documentation, diagrams, reporting)
Coordinate with Government stakeholders and internal teams; provide clear status, root cause, and resolution notes
Produce and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures

Required Technical Experience
Cisco OS and enterprise switching/routing; strong fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSPF, VPN, ACLs, wireless)
Experience with enterprise monitoring/troubleshooting tools (e.g., SolarWinds)
Ability to document designs and changes (Visio) and work in ticketing/workflow tools (ServiceNow)
Familiarity with enterprise security/network components such as Cisco ISE, firewalls, proxies, load balancers, DNS/DHCP platforms, and VPN solutions

Preferred (Highly Desired)
Certifications: CCNP, Security+, Network+, A+, ITIL
Platforms/tools: Cisco Prime; NX-OS/FXOS; Cisco Firepower/ASA; ISE; Infoblox; F5; Bluecoat Proxy; Scrutinizer
Experience supporting secure environments and network encryption devices (e.g., TACLANE) is a plus
