Job DescriptionPosition Overview
A highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Public Finance Paralegal to support its Public Finance Practice Group. Under the supervision of multiple attorneys, this role will handle a mix of billable and non-billable matters related to municipal finance transactions. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of public finance concepts, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex transactions in a fast-paced environment.
Locations: Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Harrisburg
Key Responsibilities

Assist with drafting, reviewing, and organizing legal documents related to public finance transactions

Prepare initial drafts of bond resolutions, offering statements, and closing documents

Compile, distribute, and maintain transaction documentation and closing materials

Conduct legal research related to public finance, municipal law, and securities matters

Gather, review, and organize due diligence materials

Coordinate transaction closings, including signature packets, final documents, and closing binders
-
Assist with compliance matters involving federal, state, and local public finance regulations

Prepare state and federal tax filings and UCC documents

Maintain organized electronic and physical files and document databases

Communicate with clients, underwriters, and transaction participants to obtain information and provide status updates
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education with a legal focus preferred

Paralegal certification from a state-approved or accredited program preferred
-
5+ years of paralegal experience supporting public finance or municipal bond transactions
-
Experience with filings issued under the Pennsylvania Local Government Unit Debt Act (LGUDA) is a plus

Familiarity with debt statements, borrowing base certificates, and related transaction filings

Availability to work overtime, including evenings or weekends, during peak transaction periods
