JOB TITLE: Director PMO

LOCATION: Charlotte, NC / Remote

Resumes are now being accepted for consideration of the position of Director of Project Management Office with our client, located in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a remote position reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in program and project management in the area of IT Infrastructure.

List the Duties & Responsibilities of the position:

The role of the Director of PMO aside from managing the team is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to specific scope and within budget. The Director of PMO will work to refine, document, and ensure execution of executive level project report out.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Plan, assign, monitor, review, evaluate and lead the work of others.
  • Drive PMO process improvements.
  • Propose, implement and facilitate program governance structures.
  • Advanced concepts of risk management, issue tracking, change management and requirements gathering.
  • Turn business requirements and scope into an executable statement of work.
  • Lead successful project implementations, meeting budget and time.
  • Ensure each project is completed within contractual obligations.
  • Hold self and others accountable for meeting deadlines and fostering a culture of reliability.
  • Work with resource managers on demand management.
  • Responsible for estimating impact of scope change and managing associated impacts.
  • Set and manage client expectations and satisfaction through responsive follow-up and communication.
  • Develop lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client ties.
  • Deliver high-quality outcomes and embrace the pace of change.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.
  • Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
  • Understand downstream impact of projects and processes.
  • Ability to present concepts and ideas in a coherent manner, and influence decision making with engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.

LIST THE MINIMAL TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:

Minimal Technical Requirements:

Software:

  • Microsoft Office suite
  • Microsoft Project

Operating Systems:

  • Windows

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field required
  • PMP required
  • ITIL, Agile & Six Sigma Certifications preferred

Experience:

  • 10 years direct work experience as an IT project manager required
  • 5 years in a management position
  • IT infrastructure experience preferred

Other:

  • Candidate must be a good organizational fit with the rest of the team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be creative and flexible.
  • Committed to continuous learning and finding new ways to grow personally and professionally.

Personal time management and ability to work effectively remotely.

Job Status: Full-time/salaried (40 hrs); Core work hours/days: 8am-5pm Eastern M-F
