Job Description – IT Network Engineer

FSLA Status: Exempt

Location: Lordstown, OH

Reports To: IT Infrastructure Manager

Primary Function: IT Network Engineer provides support services such Networking Device configurations, Security Device configurations, network monitoring, troubleshooting, and other server/network application services. This role provides an exciting opportunity for the candidate to be part of the Foxconn’s EV journey and grow with it.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete network and security device configuration and management.
• Monitor and provide administration to the network daily.
• Complete project related task as assigned.
• Document and enforce IT policies and procedures.
• Administer firmware updates and patching all networking related equipment.
• Lifecycle management of networking and related equipment.
• Physical mount equipment as needed.
• Troubleshooting fiber and ethernet connectivity issues.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Required Education

• Associate Degree/Bachelor’s Degree or high school diploma/equivalent plus 5 years of relevant processional experience.

Required Experience

• A minimum three to five years of experience in server/network applications required.
• Deep understanding of IP Networking in a manufacturing environment
• Deep understanding of network segmentation
• Deep understand of firewalls and cyber security best practices

Requires Skills/Licenses/Certifications

• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work and communicate with multiple IT and business teams
• Excellent documentation skills
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills
• Solid understanding of Microsoft and Linux server environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Experience with the following is preferred:
  1. Aruba Central and Aruba CX (switching and wireless)
  2. ClearPass
  3. Paloalto
  4. Cisco
