Chaise Management Group LLC (Chaise) is a management consulting and professional services firm. We are seeking a Material Handler Team Lead to support government operations in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Position Summary
The Material Handler Team Lead will oversee daily material handling and building support services at federal government agency facilities. This position requires leadership, operational coordination, and compliance with federal procedures. The Team Lead will serve as the primary liaison with the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), ensuring timely resolution of issues, maintaining records, and supporting operational requirements across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities

Meet with the COR as required to maintain satisfactory contract performance and address issues related to government/contractor procedures.

Prepare meeting minutes within two (2) workdays, ensuring accuracy and proper distribution.

Provide building support services including:

Office furniture assembly/disassembly, relocation, repair, and inspection.

Office equipment handling (computers, monitors, copiers, etc.).

Refilling/replacing hand sanitizers and basic building support tasks.

Conference room set-up and help desk support.

Manage transportation of excess furniture and supplies from federal government agency facilities within a 100-mile radius of the NCR to designated GSA warehouses.

Lead and oversee material handling staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
Qualifications

Previous experience in material handling, facilities support, or logistics leadership.

Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to prepare clear written reports.

Ability to coordinate with government representatives and resolve operational issues.

Familiarity with furniture assembly/disassembly, warehouse operations, and inventory management.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within a 100-mile radius of NCR.

Must be able to obtain and maintain any required federal clearances.
Preferred Skills

Experience supporting GSA or other federal government agencies.

Supervisory or team lead experience in logistics or facilities management.

Knowledge of property disposal and excess equipment procedures.
