Job Description
Job DescriptionMaintenance Supervisor
Multifamily Housing | Building Maintenance | Construction & Team Leadership
We are now accepting applications for a full-time Maintenance Supervisor to support and maintain one of our multifamily apartment communities. This is a hands-on leadership position for a skilled maintenance professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, clean and safe environments, and guiding a team to consistently high standards. The Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical role in preserving the physical condition and long-term value of the property while supporting resident satisfaction through timely and effective maintenance services.
Under the direction of property leadership, the Maintenance Supervisor oversees daily maintenance operations and serves as a working supervisor who leads by example. Responsibilities include completing and coordinating work orders, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring building interiors and exteriors are well maintained. This role requires a strong understanding of general construction, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC-related tasks commonly found in multifamily housing.
Cleanliness and curb appeal are essential components of this position. The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that grounds, hallways, parking areas, garages, and waste disposal areas are kept neat, safe, and free of debris at all times. Vacant apartment homes must be turned efficiently and to company standards, with a goal of completing unit turns within seven days of move-out. This includes coordinating vendors, scheduling maintenance staff, changing locks, and ensuring each unit is move-in ready.
Team leadership and collaboration are key to success in this role. The Maintenance Supervisor supports and guides maintenance technicians, promotes teamwork, and helps ensure all work is completed safely and on schedule. Maintaining an organized shop, accurate inventory of tools and parts, and adherence to safety policies and procedures are critical daily responsibilities.
Candidates should bring a high school diploma or GED along with at least two years of related maintenance, construction, or building systems experience. Equivalent combinations of education and hands-on experience will be considered. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a physically active environment.
We offer a positive and supportive work environment, performance incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, basic and voluntary life insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
If you are a skilled maintenance professional looking to grow your career in multifamily housing maintenance and team leadership, we encourage you to apply.
