Responsibilities

Chugach is seeking a Subject Matter Expert I (Junior Configuration Manager) to assist with collecting data that will create managed hardware and software baseline configurations, develop system and network topologies, and improve inventory and material control. This position will be fully remote.


Qualifications

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

  • Conduct inventory activities (comparing Inventory reports and recording CI/asset information) with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Work efficiently in Microsoft Office Suite, with proficiency in Excel spreadsheets.
  • Collaborate with United States Coast Guard (USCG), Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) and other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to collect relevant inventory data.
  • Reference Configuration Management (CM) and inventory reports, system drawings, deck plate diagrams, and other artifacts to navigate USCG platforms and locate in-scope configuration assets for inventory purposes.
  • Efficiently and accurately record inventory data.
  • Perform data cleaning and organization of spreadsheet reports of inventory data to be delivered to project customers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with both remote and on-site CM/Inventory team members to coordinate work efforts, and systematically execute inventory activities as a cohesive unit.
  • Ability to read technical system drawings is preferred.

Accountable For:

  • Ability to provide expert input on the configuration management of assets.
  • Ability to provide assistance during onsite inventories while aboard U.S. Coast Guard Ships.
  • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
