Job Description

NYC Downtown personal injury law firm is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 3+ years of litigation experience to join our team. This role offers substantial hands-on responsibility, frequent court appearances, and a strong opportunity to develop trial skills through meaningful case involvement and mentorship. Responsibilities include:

  • Handling court appearances, hearings, and conferences
  • Taking and defending depositions of parties and witnesses
  • Drafting, filing, and arguing substantive motions
  • Managing personal injury cases through discovery and pre-trial
  • Working closely with senior attorneys on case strategy and trial preparation
  • Gaining direct exposure to trials with the opportunity to second-chair and advance to first-chair responsibilities


Compensation:

  • Salary and bonuses up to $175,000.00

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Minimum of 3 years of personal injury or civil litigation experience (plaintiff or defense)
  • Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage cases with increasing independence
  • Desire to grow as a trial attorney in a plaintiff-focused practice preferable
