Job Summary & Essential Functions: he following describes in general terms the purpose and scope of the position. The Test Engineer will develop and maintain hardware and software test platforms along with supporting and overseeing production testing of all products.
- Provide technicians with circuit design and technical information on products
- Provide test station training to technicians
- Assist technicians and provide guidance to technicians
- Ensure test station equipment is operational
- Provide design for DFM and DFT on new and existing projects
- Provide test production quotes on test labor and test time estimates
- Provides interface between test and manufacturing on key issues i.e., capacity, test availability
- Verify and approve DAN’s and ECO’s
- Design test fixtures for new products both ATE and manual
- Develop new software applications for testing
- Create new Test Procedures
- Manage fixture fabrication
- Researches and recommends test equipment needed for future company growth
- Assist customer in software maintenance and updating
- Conduct failure analysis and prepare reports

Requirements:

Qualifications – Minimum
- Strong understanding of electronics theory
- Strong software development skills using Microsoft Visual Basic .Net / C#
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills / customer service skills
Qualification – Preferred
- BSEE, BSCS or equivalent education and work experience
- Database application development with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft .Net with Visual Studio
- Experience with a broad range of software development environments, i.e. LabVIEW, VEE, C/C++
Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the outlined experience level, education, training, minimum years of experience, product or industry knowledge plus any certifications in order to be considered.
- Proven experience developing custom functional test systems for electronics manufacturing
Work Environment and Safety Equipment Required: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.
- This is an electronics field service and manufacturing environment that requires the use of safety devices including glasses with side shields and ESD equipment/clothing. Long periods of standing or walking may be required.
