Job Description: Under general supervision, responsible for general maintenance and landscaping at the RV Resort and daily pool cleaning and water testing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mows, weeds, trims and fertilizes lawns
- Prunes and plants trees and shrubs
- Apply fertilizer to lawn
- Provides maintenance on irrigation timers and valves
- Operates power equipment including: mover, blower, weed eater, chain saw, pole saw, and chipper
- Cleans pool and/or spa daily and tests water for appropriate chemical levels
- Vacuum pool daily and clean skimmer baskets
- Maintain pool equipment (basic maintenance and repairs)
- Provides general maintenance to the resort
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge:
- Understand basic maintenance principles
- Must possess effective communication skills
- Operation of a front end loader, forklift, backhoe and other equipment as required
Ability to:
- Understand and carry out written and oral instructions
- Perform maintenance and repair activities
- Identify and communicate any maintenance related issues
- Appropriately use vehicles, equipment and various power and hand held tools
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Work independently or in a team environment
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License or the ability to obtain
- 1 year maintenance experience
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Requires lifting up to 75 lbs, extended periods of bending, stooping, squatting and occasional twisting
- Must be capable of working outdoors during seasonal heat and/or cold or other adverse weather conditions
