Summary:
We’re seeking a business-side Project Manager with experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in Market Access, Commercial Strategy, and Marketing Operations. This role is not IT-focused—it requires an understanding of the industry ecosystem, internal and external access dynamics, and the business processes that drive drug availability and uptake.
The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution: managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with clarity, ensuring timely communication across functions, and delivering structured, data-informed solutions that align with business objectives.Key Focus Areas:
- Drive market access readiness and commercial operations support across Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid channels.
- Understand both the macro-level landscape (payer policies, competitor shifts, launch dynamics) and micro-level execution (data updates, KPIs, field coordination).
- Act as the connective tissue across multiple business units, ensuring alignment and transparency on access-related changes and commercial priorities.
Core Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership:
- Manage multidimensional projects that support product access, reimbursement tracking, and commercial performance.
- Own the full project lifecycle—from planning and scope definition to execution, tracking, and reporting.
- Lead cross-functional workstreams, ensuring timely delivery and integration of outputs across Marketing, Market Access, Patient Services, and Field Strategy.
- Access Monitoring & Insights:
- Utilize tools like MMIT, Policy Reporter, and internal trackers (MAT, iCAT) to identify and communicate access changes.
- Track competitor moves, payer policy shifts, and label-related access issues to help shape proactive strategies.
- Internal Communication & Alignment:
- Update internal dashboards and reporting for executive leadership, Sales teams, and Patient Services.
- Partner with stakeholders (FRMs, Account Executives, Brand Teams, Finance, MAI) to ensure a shared understanding of current access realities and implications.
- Coordinate real-time communication and cross-functional awareness of key developments such as wins, losses, denials, or benefit design changes.
- Operational Excellence:
- Lead initiatives like the transition from manual MAT tracking to an automated MMIT process, including QA oversight and tool alignment (e.g. P360, ISA).
- Manage documentation and processes for Fast Start programs, MOUs, and promotional review cycles.
- Collaborate with Patient Services to define and analyze KPIs around bridge programs, access denials, and other patient support metrics.
- Strategic Support:
- Provide Account Executives with custom reporting and insights on payer trends, erosion curves, and access-related challenges.
- Help align launch readiness tracking and competitive intelligence with operational capabilities and patient service planning.
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of Project Management experience within the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in Market Access, Marketing, or Commercial Operations roles.
- Deep understanding of the U.S. healthcare system, payer structures (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid), and access-related decision-making.
- Strong experience with data tools and tracking systems (e.g. MMIT, MAT, iCAT, Policy Reporter, Salesforce-based systems).
- Demonstrated ability to lead business-critical projects with multiple stakeholders and tight timelines.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Marketing, Market Access, Finance, Sales, Field Reimbursement, and external vendors.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially with executive and field-facing audiences.
- PMP certification or similar is a plus, but not required.
