Job DescriptionJob Title: IT Portfolio ManagerLocation: Austin, TX-5 Days onsiteDuration: Long Term Position OverviewThe IT Portfolio Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategic alignment, governance, and delivery of the organization’s IT initiatives and investments. This role ensures that all IT programs and projects support business objectives, deliver value, and are executed efficiently within scope, time, and budget constraints. The IT Portfolio Manager will manage the portfolio lifecycle—from intake and prioritization to execution, reporting, and benefits realization. Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Portfolio Management
- Develop and maintain the IT project portfolio to ensure alignment with business strategy and priorities.
- Facilitate portfolio planning, investment prioritization, and resource allocation in collaboration with business and IT leadership.
Financial Management
- Manage IT portfolio budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Develop and maintain portfolio dashboards and reports for executive stakeholders.
- Track portfolio health, risks, dependencies, and performance metrics (KPIs).
Leadership & Collaboration
- Partner with project managers, business stakeholders, and IT leaders to ensure project alignment and delivery success.
- Mentor project teams on best practices in portfolio and project management.
QualificationsEducation & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in IT project, program, or portfolio management.
- Experience managing large-scale, cross-functional IT portfolios.
